Contemporary Acoustic Guitar Performers
Russell and Simon perform classy and sophisticated arrangements inspired by a wide variety of music, including pop, jazz, soul, reggae, latin and folk music. They perform with bass or as a guitar duet.
Their music is a blend of the subtle beauty of Russell's lyrical playing and Simon's intricate dynamic style, combining to produce the most emotive and intimate performances.
Together they provide the perfect foil for each others talent and perform in total unity, as if one.
Russell Jarrett
Russell studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston USA, and has since lived and worked as a performer and recording artist in England, Belgium and Canada. He has wonderful musicality with influences from jazz, funk, blues, Spanish, classical and contemporary rock. Russell also composes his own music, and works as an arranger.
Simon Taylor
He took up guitar at the age of 15 having studied classical violin since the age of 7. Self taught, he learned varied styles of guitar, and for the last 25 years has been composing music for non-commercial purposes. His playful and dynamic style has a wide range of influences from Django Reinhardt, through contemporary blues, rock, soul and folk, but always with a slight edge.
